The Gatuya washing station is located in a valley between two hills, near Kahuro town, in the Muranga District. Established in 1962 it is a part of the New Murarandia Farmers Coop Society. This region is unusual in the fact that it has biennial production cycle which is not common for most Kenyan produced coffees.
