Chalbesa is located in the heart of the Gedeo Zone and purchases from a total of 682 farmers delivering red cherry from the surrounding villages. The washing station is at 2050 metres above the sea. Once the farmers deliver the coffee further quality improvement practises are carried out to sort only the ripest cherries for processing.
