Oparopa is a place of religious habit. The coffee takes its name from the local monks and the monastery they built, which played an important role in the cultural development of the whole region. The faith of this place finds its way into the coffee and those who grow it. The majority of coffee produced in the region are traditional varietals. Even when more resistant varietals arrived farmers here kept their faith and focus on producing quality, traditionally.
